VIOLET CHACHKI IS COLLABORATOR & MUSE FOR NEW FRAGRANCE
“I was impressed because it was organic-smelling and light and refreshing and natural.” -Violet Chachki
2019 has been the year Violet Chachki officially solidified her status as fashion’s newest It Girl. From closing Moschino’s horror-filled Pre-SS20 show to staring in Pat McGrath’s skin collection campaign and attending the Met Gala, the Drag Race superstar has made her mark on the industry. Now, she is back with her latest offering – perfume.
It was announced today (November 5) that Chachki has teamed up with Hectic Parfum, a clean, genderless perfume brand who has previously partnered with Chachki’s mentor Dita Von Teese. Launching immediately, “Dirty Violet” is an eau de parfum with notes of violet leaf (obviously), jasmine sambac, patchouli, cedarwood, and labdanum.
“A lot of drag queens douse themselves in really cheap, what I call ‘whore perfume.’ That’s a quote from something,” Chachki told WWD. “When I was smelling Heretic for the first time, I was impressed because it was organic-smelling and light and refreshing and natural and not overbearing at all and not too synthetic or floral. It doesn’t smell like you’re wearing cotton candy.”SHOP DIRTY VIOLET
